"And they have taken besides Him gods, who do not create anything while they are themselves created, and they control not for themselves any harm or profit, and they control not death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life."

inspired by miss tasneem, i posted a verse from the al-Quran by my date of birth =)

surah 25, surah al-furqan. furqan simply means knowing how to distinguish good and bad, truth and falsehood. its another name for al-Quran too. and Umar al-Khattab is well-known as al-farouq (which comes from the root word 'furqan')

i always pray that i'll achieve al-furqan. to live in this world full of deceptions, it is very essential to know how to distinguish good and evil, truth and falsehood. and al-Quran is the best source for it. 25:03 gives us the very strong foundation of faith on why must we practice monotheism?, what's wrong with worshipping idols?, why worship Allah?

p/s: and i pray a troop of Umar al-Khattabs aka al-farouq will come from my bloodlines =)
